At the time of writing, the ability to have Google translate a group chat conversation is limited to chat within Gmail. I think it s tremendously exciting that Google finally connected its computer translation system to let people try to chat. Basically, you end up adding a translator bot as a contact in Gmail; then, when you re chatting with someone, you invite the translator bot into the chat room, and it looks at whatever people are saying and translates for you.
